SEPT 7-16, 2018

Our adventure will take us through Guatemala and just across the border into Honduras to Copan, to see the ancient Mayan archaeological site. We will journey from the Gulf Coast through the capital of Guatemala City and into the central highlands. We’ll visit amazing weavers and gain insight into their creative skills.

The wonderful Mayan people are naturally friendly, and filled with a spirit of hope and humor. Their uplifting attitude trickles into every aspect of their culture, including their food and farming. Although local farmers grow their crops in fields, the fields look like private gardens. Hand cultivation and constant care produce beautiful vegetables. Fields of 12-foot corn stalks will flourish in the area during our trip in September. The Pacific Ocean and Gulf provide plenty of fresh fish and seafood.

Clouds, mountains, mirrored lakes, and beautiful people – the area is heaven to see and experience.
